We were honoured to be invited by Jude Kelly OBE to contribute ideas to one of our favourite events of the year WOW - Women of the World festival. And the amazing news is that YOU are invited too.
WOW is Southbank Centre's festival that celebrates women and girls, it highlights their achievements and looks at the obstacles they still face across the world. With an extensive programme of talks and debates, music and performance, parties, a marketplace, networking and much more, the festival brings together women and men to speak about about how they are making the world a fairer place and why it matters. Looking at everything from body image to peace-making, haircuts, sport, the arts, sex, race, food and love. Expect joy, laughter, passion, insight and a chance to share your own stories.
Last year speakers included Dame Vivienne Westwood, Malala and Katie Price (Jordan), as well as nail art by the amazing Wah Nails.
Come and help plan the 5th birthday of the WOW - Women of the World: a festival for everyone that celebrates women and girls.
Each year the festival is planned in a series of Think Ins - and this year will be extra special. You are warmly invited to one of these sessions.
Whether you've been to the festival before, are dipping your toe into ideas around feminism for the first time or just want to see what's going on, come and help us plan the next festival. All are welcome. We encourage you to bring your friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, brother, child and/or granny and grandpa.
What should WOW 2015 and beyond be about? How should we mark our birthday? What would you like to see represented, how we can improve on previous festivals and develop the ideas, and what in your opinion are the most relevant topics for women today?
There are four separate Think-in sessions, sign up here.
